RE: Letters to Dr. Richard Rhoda and Governor-Elect
Phil Bredesen regarding the criminal activities
of Dr. James Catanzaro, Sr.
Dear Regent Cody:
The purpose of this letter is to inform you of my concern with the
appointment of Dr. James Catanzaro to the board determining where
our lottery money will be spent. I spoke with you on the phone
earlier this year about Dr. Catanzaro, President of Chattanooga
State Technical Community College(“CSTCC”).
The enclosed evidence and letters are self-explanatory and should
outrage any honorable person overseeing the Tennessee taxpayers
interests. I trust you agree.
I request you seek an investigation of Dr. Catanzaro’s activities
at CSTCC for the past twelve years.
The enclosed federal records of Dr. Catanzaro’s efforts in the
Chicago area at Triton Community College, (See Exhibit #B), show
that Dr. Catanzaro made contracts without Trustee Board approval to
known members of organized crime. The other enclosed evidence and
news articles will help you evaluate Dr. Catanzaro’s fitness for
the position he presently holds under your watch. WHAT HAS HE BEEN
DOING FOR THE PAST TWELVE YEARS AT CSTCC?
Thank you for your time to consider my requests in this matter.
Very truly yours,
Ernest A. Oliver
