Instructor, Chattanooga State Technical Community College, June 1992-1993.
Duties:
Teaching four (4) Chemistry Laboratories
and three (3) Microbiology Laboratories. Prep of five (5) general
chemistry labs, one (1) quantitative chemistry lab, and supervisor
of Preparation for Microbiology summer labs.
Supervisor, Department of Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry,
Technical Laboratories, Chattanooga, Tennessee, September 1990-April 1991.
Duties:
Analysis of all EPA Compounds by SW-846 methods,
including wet bench preparation, analysis and
quantification of volatile organics by purge and trap, herbicides,
pesticides, PCB compounds, & soil for BTX and Total Petroleum
Hydrocarbons using capillary Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry
and Infrared Spectroscopy.

Duties:
Set up a waste-water treatment laboratory to analyze for the presence
of all EPA hazardous compounds using Gas Chromatography and Inductively
Coupled Plasma (ICP) methods. I was fired for blowing the whistle on
Illegal dumping in the Chattanooga Sewer System, the Summit Landfill,
and the Chattanooga Creek. On November 1, 1995 I was ordered reinstated
with back pay and damages by U.S. Secretary of Labor Dr. Robert Reich.
I declined the reinstatement but did accept the back pay and damages.
In 2002, dumper, William Foxworth, President of Hydro-Vac Services,
pled guilty to two(2) felonies regarding the dumping. Foxworth spent
nine(9) months under Federal house arrest and is presently under
five(5) years of supervised probation.
Supervisor, and Senior Chemical Spectroscopist, Michigan State
University, Department of Chemistry, East Lansing, Michigan,
1980-1984,1986-1989.
Duties:
Supervision, training, and maintenance of a Finnigan 4000 Series
gas chromatograph--quadrupole mass spectrometer (GC-MS),low and
high resolution analysis (peak-matching) using the Jeol magnetic
sector instrument in the Department of Biochemistry, and chemical
ionization analysis. I analyzed over 10,000 compounds during my
employment with MSU.
Crime Laboratory Scientist, Michigan Departmentof State Police,
Detroit, East Lansing, Saginaw Crime Labs, 1973-1977, 1984-1986.
Duties:
Analyze narcotics and dangerous drugs, crime scene investigation,
bone identification, testify as expert witness in courts of law,
maintenance of lab instruments. I received and analyzed over 5000
drug cases while employed with the Michigan State Police.
Toxicologist, Tennessee Department of Public Health 1971-1972.
Duties:
Analyze narcotics and dangerous drugs, blood/breath alcohol analysis,
urine screening for drugs of abuse from companies such as Dupont
Chemical, and medical examiner analysis for cause of death.
Field Coordinator, Chattanooga Hamilton County Health Department 1969-1971.
Duties:
Organization of Immunization Clinics, monitoring shot records,
and giving baby shots. I gave over 1000 injections using the guns
and syringes during Chattanooga's "Rubella Sunday."
I have been qualified as an expert witness and testified in 504 court
cases in the states of Tennessee and Michigan, and before the Boards of
Pharmacy and the Boards of Medicine. I have testified in all the courts
in Chattanooga and in surrounding counties, as well as before the Board
of Pharmacy in Nashville.
I am retired from the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory in East
Lansing where I was a Crime Laboratory Scientist and State Police
Investigator.

EXPERIENCE:
In 1995, I completed the course of instruction offered by the
City of Chattanooga, and received my Master Plumbing license.
I presently have my own plumbing company here in Chattanooga.
I am a certified Master Plumber in Chattanooga, Hamilton County,
and statewide in Georgia.
I am certified by the states of Tennessee and Georgia to install
residential and industrial septic systems including tanks, pumping
chambers, and septic line systems.
I am a heavy equipment operator and presently hold an account
with Hertz Equipment for $5000.00 and am authorized to rent and
operate backhoe, bulldozer, and excavator (track) backhoe equipment
with the plumbing business.
